To Market, to Market, to Buy a Fat Home
So, does anybody have an RV they want to let us borrow for a few years?
Luxury preferred, of course.
We are currently in the process of our 7th move in 13 years (have I mentioned that yet?) and headed back to my home state of Texas. Now, don’t get me wrong, I have a love for Texas that runs deep…it’s where I grew up, went to college, got laid-off from my first job at Enron, and most importantly, where my family and a lot of good friends live. But to be honest, it is a bizarre and slightly confusing feeling coming back here after having left at the age of 23-like being a stranger in your own turf.
Anyway, I digress. That’s a whole other museletter.
Point being, in case you haven’t heard, it’s not a fun time to be looking for homes. The idea of downsizing is becoming a lot more appealing to me and I did start Googling “luxury RV’s” last night. I mean, I think the hubby would love to be in continuous close quarters with his 3 ladies who love talking non-stop and also love dance parties. What could go wrong?
Switching gears, I have officially started my political career!
Kidding. Kind of.
The Podcast Academy, the only professional membership organization uniting podcast creators and industry leaders and whose mission is to support podcast makers and advance the cultural merit of the medium, held an election a few months back to run for their Board of Governors.
Beginning in May, yours truly will be part of their Board.
I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to have been elected and to also have the opportunity to work alongside some of our titans of the industry. I’ve known for awhile that the podcast universe was my home and now having the chance to help shape this industry in whatever small way…well, the feeling is indescribable.
I’m so ready for this.
Look ma, I’m in a newspaper in India!
It was pretty cool waking up to this shoutout on Sunday. South India, I appreciate the love. Although I am not one to take to compliments easily, I’m slowly learning that it is sometimes ok to celebrate the small wins.
And lastly, but not leastly, I had a blast talking to my latest guest last week.
Pallavi Golla Patil is the Founder and CEO of Lark Adventurewear the first and only childrens activewear brand for children 0-10 years, and now for adults. They're on a mission to make technically superior clothing that makes life less stressful for parents and more comfortable for the whole family.
Pallavi was generous enough to send me and my kids some of the clothing and let me tell you, I fell in LOVE. The clothes are comfortable, chic, and most importantly, we didn't want to take them off. I am definitely getting myself the jogger and hoodie outfit….and guess what, you can too.
Just put in promo code TUCKERED at checkout to get 15% off on your first order!
Trust me. These clothes are the best.
