All These Little Games

When you go on four trips in thirteen days, there’s a chance you will end up coming home with some virus (potentially from another passenger on your flight that sounded like they were putting their face into a blender)...so yeah, recovery this week has been no bueno BUT, I’m still on a high from all the fantastic experiences the past few weeks.

Ok, going back a little…

Still soaking in an incredible few days with The Podcast Academy at Podcast Movement.

Connecting with our Board of Governors IRL, participating in a fantastic The Ambies award show, meeting up with old and new podcast colleagues, and of course meeting Lance Bass (yup, I tried to show him some moves) was the energy lift that I definitely needed.

Since I wasn't able to clip my part of the show (obviously above), I used my mom's version...aka, recording it from her phone- while watching it on her computer.

So please excuse the quality…mama Hansa makes sh*t happen though!!

"I think there are a lot of exciting things happening in terms of the South Asian music scene...."

Kunal Merchant is a Partner and Artist at Indo Warehouse , a multi-faceted label/platform that is dedicated to authentically integrating South Asian culture with electronic music.

I mean, hell yes.

We talk about how growing up Indian in Texas means always having that supportive brown family that will tell you how it is (Teexxxaaaaassss), exchange stories from our time in India together (we had some ridiculous nights), discuss how he started building his third South Asian inspired brand, Indo Warehouse, and the plans to expand its footprint even more globally in 2023 (India???).

Kunal was kind enough to let us play his first single, Anokha, from the new platform for this episode so CHECK IT OUT and support my brother! As the kids (used to) say, it's dope. Also, their next event is TOMORROW!!

Festival Of Love, DO IT.

Done yelling.

I leave you with my song of the week(ish).

My 6-year-old and I play a game every morning…I play new songs for her on the way to school and she has to read the title and artist of each song. She’s becoming a champion reader, I get to teach her about mama’s music…win/win.

She asked me to play this one for you guys.:)

Oh yeah, she also told me to tell you guys to share this museletter if you’re enjoying it…or even if you’re not…her words, not mine.
